BREONICS' Purchases Research and Manufacturing Facility

In June BREONICS completed a purchase and sale agreement with Alliance Pharmaceutical Corp for Alliance's Otisville, New York research and manufacturing facility. This purchase will ensure the resources necessary to further develop its technologies and products.

The Otisville facility provides research and quality control laboratories in conjunction with modern medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturing areas. The plant is qualified for US FDA and European certification to manufacture pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

Interior systems include HVAC upgrades that support validated clean rooms, water processing equipment that will meet US Pharmacopoeia Standards and automated monitoring devices for all systems. Quality control and research laboratories are equipped for cell culture, microbiology, and chemical and biochemical analysis.

Also available is a laboratory space equipped and qualified for radioisotope and radiochemical procedures. Office space throughout the facility is computer equipped with netted workstations. Emergency power is provided by two emergency generating systems that respond automatically to any service outage.
